My name is Juha Laaksonen and I study information technology at the HAMK University of Applied Sciences in Riihimäki, Finland. I've been tinkering with computers since I was nine or ten, so choosing to study information technology felt very natural to me. Computers interest me because they are ever evolving and always offer new challenges and things to learn about.
Besides playing with computers, I also take photographs and I've put some of the pictures I've taken to the gallery page. I got my first camera in 2004 and I've been taking pictures since. At the moment I mainly use Canon EOS 400D SLR camera and edit my photos in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.
Not all my hobbies are technology related, I also go to gym, jog and practice Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. I've been practicing different martial arts since second grade, "normal" team sports have never suited me. In addition to kicking ass, I'm also a passionate croquet player.
